After 52 student organizations missed a mandatory meeting in early Sept., Clemson University's undergraduate student government has derecognized 41 of the groups.
The meeting's coordinator Patrick Becker, a senior serving his first term in the Cabinet of Organizations, ultimately made this decision after representatives from these groups failed to attend.

Oh wow! A gay couple! Look! It was a pretty girl with shiny hair and carefully applied makeup, as "normal" as they come, commenting for all to hear as she watched two young women in a restaurant downtown. She wrinkled her face in disgust and pointed at them.

As many of you, sadly, may not know, Friday, Sept. 26 marked the first in a series of four presidential debates. McCain and Obama went head to head on issues about the economy and foreign relations, and both candidates did exceedingly well. What greatly discourages me is the seemingly lack of student involvement in this election, no matter whether you identify with a donkey or elephant.

Homosexuality is the new black.
The Lambda Alliance, the University's lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and ally student organization, hosted Gay Jeans Day on Thursday, a gay rights tradition of more than 30 years.
Signs, banners and Lambda representatives adorned the Tate Plaza to thank students for wearing jeans in support of the homosexual community.

Clemson will take on nationally ranked Wake Forest in its first true road game of the year on Thursday night. Clemson has historically dominated the Demon Deacons. Clemson leads 56-16-1 overall in a series that dates back to 1933. In the Tommy Bowden era, Clemson also leads the series 7-2.

College football teams in the state of Georgia had pretty successful day this past Saturday. Of the four big time programs in Georgia, (University of Georgia, Georgia Tech, Valdosta State University, and Georgia Southern University) the Eagles of GSU were the only team to not win.
