In today's world of meetings, assignments, and social events it is impossible to keep up with it all. If I don't have constant reminders or daily updates, I find it hard to keep up with the daily grind. This is where fliers become a good part of my daily life.
There, on my fridge, is a constant reminder that I have things to do. It is all in order and each flier is displayed prominently. Every time I'm thirsty, I reach for a water only to be reminded of the social event on the 5th or the meeting on the 12th.
When grabbing a bag of chips or a tub of yogurt, the fliers are there again, giving me my daily dose of reminders. I get reminded again when I go to the student center and see the same flier posted at the door. All these posts help me remember exactly how busy my life is.
Without these reminders, I would be lost. Caught in a whirlwind of meetings and classes, I would cease to function. The fliers bring order to my life. They remind me of everything that needs to be remembered.
Fliers can do many things for students. It can keep them organized and they can be very helpful in a way for the administration to communicate with the student body.
When the administration needs to communicate to the students, the student e-mail is normally used. This is a great way to save paper and think green, but in the busy age of students today, emails can easily be lost in a sea of constant emails. One thing that the student affairs department does is a hybrid of the two. They e-mail a monthly calendar that can be printed and posted just as easily as a flier.
Fliers are an amazing way of keeping students up to date on the happenings of the college. I also quite like them decorating my refrigerator.
