March Madness is upon us, and it's all about Wildcats. While the Kentucky Wildcats ended their 17-year run at the Big Dance, the Arizona Wildcats, led by Jordan Hill, extended their streak to 25 years. They stumbled into the tourney, but defeated fifth-seeded Utah in the opening round and Cleveland State to advance to the Sweet 16. All top-three seeds have yet to lose…The 0-16 Detroit Lions have decided to retire the number 93 during 2009 in honor of Corey Smith, one of the football players lost at sea. Smith played seven NFL seasons for three teams including Detroit…The World Baseball Classic is nearing its conclusion, and the stage is set for March 23 with Korea taking on Japan or the U.S. Korea has beaten Japan twice during the WBC…It's been a frenzy of activity for wide receivers in the NFL. Terrell Owens has moved on to Buffalo, while Marvin Harrison, Torry Holt and Matt Jones are homeless. With three possible first-round receivers coming through April's draft, there should be multiple options for needy teams...Shaquille O'Neal's career may be coming to an end soon, but "The Diesel" still has something left in the tank. Shaq moved into fifth place on the all-time scoring list after passing Moses Malone. O'Neal likely won't get any higher on the list, as Wilt Chamberlain is roughly 4,000 points ahead of him. Shaq believes he could have been at number two or three on the list had he not missed time with injuries or missed "5,000 free throws."
