The egg hunt was a four day event where the first two days focused on night students and the last two days on day students. Each day a golden egg was hidden and clues were handed out to its whereabouts. Students raced around campus trying to decipher the clues and find the special egg before someone else. Some even begged for more clues. Teachers even got into the fun by trying to help students along. The campus was abuzz with excitement.
At the front door, club members were handing out the clues and selling Easter baskets to raise funds for future club events. They sold 18 baskets, making a total of $80. The leftover baskets were donated to the Athens Area Homeless Shelter. The club members believe the event was a huge success.
More events are in the works for this club including a 50/50 raffle to end the semester. Other events in discussion include a historically based murder mystery dinner, a fruit fundraiser and a community auction.
If you would like more information on these, or to join the club, please contact the club advisor, Tony Frye at tfrye@piedmont.edu.
