NO way!

Animal cruelty is one the most overlooked crimes in the world, and we take for granted the severity of these felonies. It's unacceptable that in our times individuals still practice inhuman practices on animals. Cruelties range from a variety of activities; including staged fights, hormone and antibiotic treatments, and laboratory testing.
Dogs and roosters are the main victims of staged fights. Although the activity is illegal in most countries, it is widely practiced in parts of Asia, South Africa and Russia. Animal fights are circumstances to make money through bets. Many organizations such as Greenpeace and PETA strongly campaign against this activity, as it is a brutal and inhuman way of making money.
Farm animal cruelty includes furnishing animals with hormones and antibiotics. These animals are raised for food, thus the substances they are given not only harm the animals, but also us. By consuming their meat we inevitably intake some of these drugs.
According to The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, "These animals lead short, painful lives and often produce food that is lower in quality than those animals raised in healthy environments." Therefore, it is futile to raise animals in a poor and cruel environment is the quality of their food is inferior.
Laboratory testing is one of most controversial issues, as it is legal in some cases. I strongly disagree with the use of animals in scientific and medical experiments for various reasons. Living in the 21st century, it is unlikely that with the technology at our disposition, we cannot achieve results without including animal testing.
The scientific and medical world has made impressive improvements in equipment, and in our days we have access to extremely advanced technology; so scientists should refrain from testing on animals.
Another reason I disapprove with animal testing is the fact that many animals used in experiments do not have the same organs as human beings, consequently the results a product has on an animals may not have the same effect on the human body; making this practice unnecessary and inadequate, and unsafe for us.
