The judicial committee is one of the governing bodies at Piedmont. It's comprised of students only and they make decisions on what should happen to violators of Piedmont's rules.
This used to be the only way a student could receive sanctions for his or her committed crimes.
Student affairs has introduced a way to expedite the process, though. The hearings option form is available for students who have violated visitation rules.
This option, however, is only available to students who have disobeyed the visitation rules. Other violations aren't covered in this new option.
Students can go through Drew Davis or another senior officer in student affairs.
They can have their case heard and the officer can decide what sanctions should be imposed. This is much faster because the student will not have to wait for the student judicial committee to meet.
There are set guidelines for visitation offences. Other violations can have different sanctions but the severity of the punishment will be the same.
For instance, alcohol sanctions can be different but the severity of them will be the same.
