Phone lines no more

Piedmont will be turning off the land line phones in the dorm rooms.
In an effort to be more cost efficient, the college is limiting the land lines down to one per dorm.
They will be located in the lobbies of the dorms or the laundry rooms if the dorms are without a lobby.
Whitney Matthews, junior business major, says, "To tell you the truth, I don't really care. I've never used them before so it doesn't affect me."
Much of the campus didn't use the land lines in their rooms. Instead, they rely on their cell phones.

Phones are also in the hallways of GB, Purcell and Wallace Hall just in case students need to use them.
