Men 3-1 in GSAC

The Piedmont College men's basketball team fell to rival host Huntingdon College on Saturday by the score of 87-70.
The loss comes after a six-game winning streak, marking the Lions' first defeat in the Great South Athletic Conference.
The win streak, which includes earlier victories over Huntingdon, LaGrange and Maryville colleges, has propelled the Piedmont Lions to second-place standing in the GSAC with a 3-1 record.
Standing in Piedmont's way in the first-place slot is Maryville College. The Maryville Scots most recent encounter with the Lions resulted in an 80-78 overtime victory for Piedmont.
The Piedmont College men's basketball team has two conference games remaining before the GSAC tournament, including tip-offs against LaGrange and Maryville colleges. The-two day tournament begins on Feb. 26 in Decatur.
As for now, Piedmont's overall record stands at 14-7.
